Allianz Travel would like to express our concern for those affected by the situation in the Middle East and would like to inform Allianz Travel Insurance policyholders of the following special assistance measures.
1. Customers currently traveling abroad
For customers who are currently traveling overseas, whether transiting through or having a destination in the affected countries*, the Company will consider extending the policy coverage period for up to 15 days from the original policy expiry date as a special measure, without charging any additional premium.
2. Customers with travel plans to or through affected countries*
From now until 15 March 2026
For customers who have travel plans from now until 15 March 2026, whether transiting through or having a destination in the affected countries*, but whose flights or public transportation have been cancelled by the airline or transport provider, customers may request policy cancellation and receive a full refund (after deduction of VAT and stamp duty). Supporting documentation from the public transport provider is required.
3. Customers currently in affected countries*
For customers currently in the affected countries*, Emergency Medical Assistance services for sudden illness or accidents remain available as usual. Customers are advised to review their coverage details and contact channels as stated in their travel insurance policy.
Remarks:
1. The Company reserves the right to amend, change, or cancel these special assistance measures at its sole discretion without prior notice.
2. The Company’s travel insurance policy, including Emergency Medical Assistance services, does not cover injuries, losses, or damages arising from or related to war or civil unrest, as specified in the general exclusions of the travel insurance policy.
*Affected areas (as of 5 March 2026):
Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
