Allianz Global Assistance announces the nomination of Jean-Marc Quéau as Director of Risks and Reinsurance

As Director of this department, his mission is to ensure that the company develops in growth and profitability in a context of controlled risk management within all of the Group’s operational entities. He will report directly to Laurence Maurice, the Group’s Financial Director.

« Jean-Marc brings to our Group nearly 20 years of international experience with major insurance companies for which he has intervened both internally and also as a consultant for critical problematic issues like reinsurance, product development, pricing, and risk modelling – all of which are assets for a group like ours, » Laurence Maurice declares.

« In the insurance business, the role of Director of Risks has evolved considerably over the past several years, especially with the introduction of Solvency II. I am delighted to assume my responsibilities in this new context where risk management is an essential element of the company strategy, » Jean-Marc Quéau adds.

43-year-old Quéau joined Allianz Global Assistance in January 2012 as Director of the Actuary department. He began his career with Zurich Financial Services in 1996 as Manager of the Actuary department, and remained in this job until 2000. He then oversaw several different actuary functions including the design and development of insurance products and risk management, notably for Tillinghast (Towers Watson) and the Generali group. He has a degree from the Actuary Institute and is an ERM expert (Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary).
